Educational facilities

The scientific educational possibilities within the Munich Metropolitan Region impress both in terms of their quantity and their quality. In addition to five universities the region also boasts numerous state technical colleges as well as other (technical) colleges from the most varied specialist fields.

In the national comparison, the two Munich universities regularly occupy the leading places and have, in the context of the excellence initiative, been awarded the title of an "Elite-University".
