The Association Europäische Metropolregion München e.V. organises a Metropolitan Conference every year. This serves the purpose of furthering the development of a common identity, collecting new ideas for projects and the acquisition of additional collaborators and supporters.

Once a year those involved in the EMM e.V. meet with representatives from politics, the economy, society, culture and administration at different locations within the Munich Metropolitan Region at the Metropolitan Conference. The purpose of this event is:

• The exchange of information and opinions between the working groups from the various fields of activities
• The collection and discussing of new ideas for projects of the EMM e.V.
• The furtherance of a common region identity of the Munich Metropolitan Region
• The presentation of the results of the project work of the EMM e.V. to the general public
