Rural District of Dachau
At an altitude three metres above the Marienplatz (Munich?s main square), the garden of Dachau Palace offers a panoramic overview of the metropolis, all the way to the Alps. The Rural District of Dachau is located northwest of the Bavarian capital, in the middle of the metropolitan region. It includes just under 140,000 inhabitants and 580 km². The City of Dachau looks back on 1,200 years of history.
