Economic and Commuter Traffic

Project "Park + Ride":

Registration of commuter car parks in the EMM:

The EMM has a total of 48 car parks with spaces for nearly 1,500 cars at its disposal.

Survey of users at commuter car parks in the EMM:

Registration of the purpose of the journey, reasons for using this service and the most important facilities that commuter car parks should have.

Drafting of a proposal for an ideal commuter car park:

The ideal commuter car park is designed for around 50 vehicles and offers, in addition to a reinforced surface and illumination equipment, possibilities for leaving bicycles and motorcycles.

Compiling of a flyer on the subject of commuter car parks in the EMM: The flyer delivers a geographical overview of the locations of all commuter car parks in the EMM. In addition, it contains information about the number of spaces for passenger cars, the consistency of the surface and the illumination of the parking space.

Support of Mobility Management in the EMM:

The UAG (sub-working group) economic and commuter traffic has the aim of supporting the forming of car pools via appropriate information portals. The formation of car pools is intended to be a first component of company mobility management and to be incorporated in a comprehensive mobility management system in the Munich Metropolitan Region. Already first ideas are circling and contacts exist with the municipality of Bergkirchen in the District of Dachau and the associated industrial estate GADA A 8 at the junction of the motorway A 8 with the main road B 471.
