What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2022 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?

“Kirchheim is a driving force for innovation in a wide variety of fields. For example, Kirchheim will host the State Garden Show in 2024, which is being billed as a modern fusion of environmental awareness and community development. […]”

How do you make the most of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects are you actively involved within the association?

“Together with EMM, we want to rethink mobility. It’s time for a mobility revolution in both urban and rural areas. That’s why we’re also participating in the International Building Exhibition (IBA) “Spaces of Mobility” to find new ways to shape mobility in a sustainable manner that meets the needs of our citizens.”

“I would like to see more collaborative efforts on major infrastructure projects in the metropolitan region. Joint initiatives such as an IBA could help draw national—and perhaps even international—attention to these projects.”

What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2023 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?

“As a provider of participatory planning processes, we are not only interested in collaboration—we are convinced that it leads to better results. We are delighted to be able to do our part and to contribute our expertise. The upcoming IBA is just one of many opportunities for the region to demonstrate what it can achieve when working together. It’s wonderful to be a part of it.”

What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2024 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?

“Since 2019, intrestik has been working nationwide on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture to support villages and regions that want to make their communities sustainable for the future. Among other things, we are conducting research projects on how parks in cities influence our lives, how to engage people in the mobility transition (MCube), and how to combine digital and analog participation. We share the insights gained from this work and make them available throughout the metropolitan region.”

How do you make use of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects or areas is your institution actively involved in the association?

“We’d like to share our expertise on the topics of new ways of working, commuting, and workplace strategies. Other members are welcome to reach out to us about these topics, and if needed, 1000 Satellites can also offer members opportunities for dialogue in the form of short workshops.”

What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2025 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?

“Through the EMM network, we can leverage the IBA to advance our submitted project, ‘Transformation at the Heart.’ This means we hope to have a say in the design of a thoroughfare through our community that connects the train station with the town center. As a result, the issues of housing and mobility—or rather, the spaces dedicated to mobility—play a major role.”

“We have had a presence in Munich since 2004 and aim to strengthen our presence in the Munich metropolitan region in a targeted manner so that we can actively shape the future together with local stakeholders. This involves issues such as sustainable urban development, infrastructure transformation, and digitalization. What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2025 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?

“For us, it was literally a no-brainer to participate in the IBA Munich Metropolitan Region. Like much of Upper Bavaria, Mühldorf has retained its unique character and spirit. Thanks to the excellent transportation links to Munich via Highway 94 or the railway’s Linienstern service, we feel more and more like part of the metropolitan region. One concrete project with great potential is the development of our station area.”

“We participate in EMM e. V. events both as attendees and presenters. We use the platform as a hub for developing topics and projects. Currently, we are contributing to EMM’s involvement in the IBA through the MOVE and Pendlerhaus projects, which aim to minimize traffic problems through virtual and guided mobility.”
