Why should others become members of EMM e. V. as well?
“We should all become members of EMM e.V. and thus harness the potential that lies in the strength of this regional community. The more people who get involved and work together creatively on the region’s future, the more we will achieve for the region—and thus for each and every one of us.”
How do you make the most of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects or areas are you and your institution actively involved in the association?
“The events, conferences, and forums organized by the metropolitan region provide valuable insights for a small town like Dorfen. In return, we have the opportunity to share our own experiences.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2022 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“Kirchheim is a driving force for innovation in a wide variety of fields. For example, Kirchheim will host the State Garden Show in 2024, which is being billed as a modern fusion of environmental awareness and community development. […]”
What makes the Munich metropolitan area so special to you?
“The metropolitan region is characterized by strong economic vitality, cultural richness, and an
exceptionally high level of social cohesion. Personally, I appreciate the
outstanding beauty of our region’s landscape and nature.”

How do you make the most of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects are you actively involved within the association?
“Together with EMM, we want to rethink mobility. It’s time for a mobility revolution in both urban and rural areas. That’s why we’re also participating in the International Building Exhibition (IBA) “Spaces of Mobility” to find new ways to shape mobility in a sustainable manner that meets the needs of our citizens.”
Why should others become members of EMM e.V.?
“Because teamwork is essential to the integrated mobility of tomorrow. Only by working together across modes of transport and disciplines can we achieve the mobility transition in the Munich metropolitan region.”
How do you make use of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which areas does your institution actively contribute to the association?
“I would like to see more collaborative efforts on major infrastructure projects in the metropolitan region. Joint initiatives such as an IBA could help draw national—and perhaps even international—attention to these projects.”
Why should others become members of EMM e.V.?
“In times of great challenges and scarce resources, communication and collaboration are more important than ever. The EMM facilitates and promotes both of these aspects in an exemplary manner.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2023 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“As a provider of participatory planning processes, we are not only interested in collaboration—we are convinced that it leads to better results. We are delighted to be able to do our part and to contribute our expertise. The upcoming IBA is just one of many opportunities for the region to demonstrate what it can achieve when working together. It’s wonderful to be a part of it.”
How do you make use of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects or areas is your institution actively involved in the association?
“We are setting IBA GmbH on the right track and working together to shape the International Building Exhibition (IBA) ‘Spaces of Mobility’ in the Munich metropolitan region. We are collaborating on a polycentric innovation strategy and highlighting the strengths of the entire metropolitan region.”
Why should others become members of EMM e.V.?
“The association exudes a certain appeal that benefits the entire region, thereby highlighting the ‘economic impact of the metropolitan area.’ Everyone involved stands to gain from this.”
What makes the Munich metropolitan area so special to you?
“The Munich metropolitan region has enormous potential and plays a key role in the transition toward a sustainable, responsible economy and urban development. We particularly value the sense of community, the regional solidarity, and the open and collegial exchange of experiences.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2024 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“Since 2019, intrestik has been working nationwide on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture to support villages and regions that want to make their communities sustainable for the future. Among other things, we are conducting research projects on how parks in cities influence our lives, how to engage people in the mobility transition (MCube), and how to combine digital and analog participation. We share the insights gained from this work and make them available throughout the metropolitan region.”
Why should others become members of EMM e.V.?
“Membership facilitates a valuable exchange that gives rise to new perspectives and collaborations. Networking with other stakeholders from various industries and sectors opens up a wide range of opportunities for collaboration and knowledge transfer. This creates synergies that foster innovative projects and joint initiatives. Of particular note is access to exclusive events, workshops, and conferences. These platforms not only offer the opportunity to stay informed about current trends and developments but also to connect directly with experts and decision-makers.”
What makes the Munich metropolitan area so special to you?
“For me, the metropolitan region is so unique because the Dillingen district is part of it. 🙂 Overall, as the Munich metropolitan region, we have a certain appeal because our economic strength, tradition, zest for life, and dynamic sense of community make us a strong collective that is recognized far beyond our local area.”
How do you make use of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects or areas is your institution actively involved in the association?
“We’d like to share our expertise on the topics of new ways of working, commuting, and workplace strategies. Other members are welcome to reach out to us about these topics, and if needed, 1000 Satellites can also offer members opportunities for dialogue in the form of short workshops.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2024 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“As real estate developers in the Munich metropolitan area, we are driven by a desire to create innovative and sustainable projects—from the revitalization of historic industrial landmarks to the implementation of new construction projects. We believe that our actions have a significant impact on the lives of people in our community. EMM, with its strong network, serves as a platform for innovative exchange.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2025 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“Through the EMM network, we can leverage the IBA to advance our submitted project, ‘Transformation at the Heart.’ This means we hope to have a say in the design of a thoroughfare through our community that connects the train station with the town center. As a result, the issues of housing and mobility—or rather, the spaces dedicated to mobility—play a major role.”
What makes the Munich metropolitan area so special to you?
“For me, the Munich metropolitan region is far more than just a business hub—it’s a place where ideas are welcomed with open arms and innovation is truly brought to life. As a business executive and a mother, I particularly appreciate the balance between professional opportunities and a high quality of life. I love meeting people here who are not only ambitious but also willing to work together toward a shared future. The interplay of cultural diversity, economic strength, and personal inspiration motivates me every day to build connections with my team and foster talent.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2025 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“We have had a presence in Munich since 2004 and aim to strengthen our presence in the Munich metropolitan region in a targeted manner so that we can actively shape the future together with local stakeholders. This involves issues such as sustainable urban development, infrastructure transformation, and digitalization. Our goal is to set new standards in project management and to create real added value for society, the economy, and the environment through professional planning and management.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2025 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“For us, it was literally a no-brainer to participate in the IBA Munich Metropolitan Region. Like much of Upper Bavaria, Mühldorf has retained its unique character and spirit. Thanks to the excellent transportation links to Munich via Highway 94 or the railway’s Linienstern service, we feel more and more like part of the metropolitan region. One concrete project with great potential is the development of our station area.”
What makes the Munich metropolitan area so special to you?
“The diversity of local businesses, institutions, and residents holds great potential for making the region economically and environmentally sustainable for the future and ensuring it remains a great place to live.”
How do you make use of your EMM e.V. membership, and in which projects or areas is your institution actively involved with the association?
“We participate in EMM e. V. events both as attendees and presenters. We use the platform as a hub for developing topics and projects. Currently, we are contributing to EMM’s involvement in the IBA through the MOVE and Pendlerhaus projects, which aim to minimize traffic problems through virtual and guided mobility.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2026 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“By 2026, we aim to further scale our services and help even more small and medium-sized businesses in the region leverage AI strategically and in ways that add value. As an AI consulting firm, we see great potential in fostering knowledge transfer between innovative tech companies and established small and medium-sized businesses in the metropolitan region. Munich and its surrounding area offer ideal conditions for this—this is where technological expertise and entrepreneurial strength come together.”
What are your institution’s plans and goals for 2026 and beyond, and where do you see specific opportunities for collaboration with and within the Munich metropolitan region?
“Through our projects at Munich Airport, we also aim to showcase local construction expertise to an international audience. The Munich metropolitan region and our network provide us with the ideal conditions for this.”
