Region of Innovation

The Munich metropolitan region is one of Europe’s most innovative locations—EMM e.V. brings together stakeholders from academia, business, and politics, connecting people, ideas, and perspectives to promote the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of ideas on innovation topics in the region.

Region of Innovation

In 2026, the EMM e.V. launched the “Region of Innovation” regional management project, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy.

We are very much looking forward to the upcoming three-year funding period. The goal of the project is to further strengthen and highlight the polycentric innovation forces of the Munich metropolitan region:

  • Regional events are planned in collaboration with the counties and project partners

  • In addition, promotional videos featuring the districts will highlight the appeal of the Munich Metropolitan Region as a hub for innovation

  • Furthermore, the “Where Ideas Fly” film project will showcase the innovative strength of the Munich Metropolitan Region

“Region of Innovation” Roadshow in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen
