Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District

When you hear the name “Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District,” you immediately think of picture-perfect landscapes: pre-Alpine landscapes with blue lakes and green forests, cows grazing on alpine meadows, traditional Bavarian villages, onion-domed church towers, and colorful floral decorations adorning old farmsteads.

“Region of Innovation” Project

In 2026, the “Region of Innovation” regional management project, led by EMM e.V. and funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy, was launched. The project’s goal is to further strengthen and highlight the polycentric innovation capabilities of the Munich metropolitan region:

  • through regional events organized in collaboration with counties and project partners

  • highlighting the appeal of the Munich Metropolitan Region as an innovation hub through promotional videos featuring the districts

  • through the film project “Where Ideas Fly”—eye-catching and with a touch of humor
